Compatibility with Portable Fridges

The HSP Load Slide is compatible with various portable fridges, including popular brands like Dometic and Engel. The HSP Load Slide sits roughly 110mm from the base of your tub, this measurement allows you to find the best fridge for your setup. Whether you have a Canopy or a HSP Roll R Cover, there are a wide range of fridge/ freezers to suit your ute!

Comparing Portable Fridge Brands

To find the best fridge to suit your ute, it is important you measure in two places, if you have a Canopy, you are measuring from the top of your canopy to the base of your tub. Then take away the 110mm for the Load Slide to determine what the best unit will be. Also remember to decide how you will be accessing your fridge, if you need the lid to fully open without pulling out the Load Slide.

If you have a HSP Roll R Cover and Load Slide and are looking to find the right fridge. This is very dependant on your vehicle make and model. As all tub heights are different, you will need to measure the height of your tub, then take away the 110mm for the Load Slide and another 10mm for the roll top curtain. This will then allow you to find the best fridge to fit underneath your curtain and will be accessible by pulling out the Load Slide or simply opening your roll top!

Dometic have a fantastic new product, the Dometic CFF50LPDZ Low Profile Dual Zone Fridge Freezer 50L which has been specifically designed to suit roll tops with a height of 407mm and compatible with almost ALL dual cab utes! With 50L of storage (split into 30L and 20L zones) you have enough room for up to 64 cans and you’ll have the capacity to keep drinks chilled and food frozen at the same time. Dometic also offer a range of other sizes like the Dometic CFX3 35 & its bigger brother the Dometic CFX3 95DZ which fit in the HSP Load slide for most major dual cab utes.

The second brand is Engel. Known for their legendary durability and the unique Sawafuji Swing Motor, Engel fridges are built to last and designed for the outdoors. The 40L Elite Series Engel fridge is a true favourite and perfect for Load Slide and canopy setups, however due to the 508mm height of the fridge, you are limited to what vehicles it is compatible with when you have a roll top. However the 60L Fridge/Freezer has a height of 441mm and would work with most dual cab ute Load Slide and roll top combos.
