The space underneath the roll top canister varies from vehicle to vehicle, so the best way is to measure the total height of your specific tub and then subtract 25mm off the top. The remaining height will be the total usable height underneath the roll top when closed.

No, when the Roll R Cover is in operation, it draws an average of 5-8 amps. Once the Roll R Cover is not in operation and the light is off, there will be no amp draw.

When in operation, the roller cover draws power based on the motor and LED light strip, with the controller supporting up to 20A at 12V, depending on the load. When the controller is not in operation, and the LED touch display is not illuminated, the current draw is approximately 40 mA at 12V, or 480 mW.

The LED light will drain the battery faster if left on for extended periods. By default, the LED light turns off after 10 minutes, with a maximum timeout of 15 minutes. The LED strip has built-in protection features that limit current draw to 1.25A and provide short-circuit protection at 2A.

The Motor Drive’s default run time is 15 seconds and includes basic object/end-stop detection based on current draw. This limits power consumption, but if the default time or current draw settings are changed, it will increase overall power draw.

Regularly clean the system using a mild detergent and water, paying close attention to the side rails, seals and internal gutter channels. This is where dirt, sand, and grime can build up over time. Also remove debris from the internal spiral mechanism using a soft cloth or rag.

It’s recommended to lift and inspect the cover components, removing any accumulated dirt from seals and drainage paths to maintain proper water flow. A cleaning kit is included with the system for this purpose and can be reused for ongoing maintenance.
